Gum Arabic, also called Acacia Gum, is an emulsifying powerhouse! This natural, food-safe gum is obtained from the bark of the acacia tree.
It is used to thicken, emulsify and stabilize foods such as candy, ice cream, gelato and sweet syrups. It can also be used in cake decorating to make gum paste and used as an emulsifier and thickener in non-food applications such as cosmetics and water colour paints.
Gum Arabic powder is colourless, tasteless, odourless and dissolves easily in cold or warm water.
